Understanding migraines anew
An evening about what your migraine has to do with your whole life.
Free online evening with Emmy Verlaak, live via Zoom. You choose one of two dates:
Approximately 90 minutes, with time for your questions.

You've already tried a lot: pills, diet, trigger lists, relaxation. Some things help for a while. Then it comes back.
And maybe you sometimes quietly wonder what you're still doing wrong.
It's not about what you're doing wrong. It's about what interacts. Your migraines are rarely caused by a single trigger.
Your body, your thoughts, your feelings, your daily life, and what's important to you all have an effect simultaneously. And behind it all lies... your life storyOld burdens, sometimes even early traumas, can keep your nervous system on high alert to this day.
This evening we will look at this interplay.
You will learn how they interact and which one is currently speaking the loudest to you.
Body and nervous systemHow much tension are you carrying without realizing it?
Tap on a dimension.
You can feel for yourself how your nervous system can calm down. Quite simply, from your seat.
With one or two participants who are interested, I will demonstrate my working methods live. Participation is voluntary and gentle. Watching is just as valuable.
Finally, I'll tell you about the retreat on La Palma for those who want to delve deeper, and how you can arrange a free introductory call with me. You can then decide at your leisure whether any of it is right for you.
My name is Emmy Verlaak. I suffered from migraines for twelve years myself. Things changed when I understood that my entire life had shaped my nervous system, especially my early years. And when I learned to calm my nervous system in a way that was sensitive to trauma. Only then did things truly change.
For over 30 years I have been supporting people in seminars and coaching sessions. I am a licensed psychotherapist and work using a body-oriented and trauma-sensitive approach.
„"I found this feeling of not having to do anything, but simply being allowed to be, incredibly comforting."“
„"I really had space to experience myself."“
„"I suffered from migraines for many years, the classic kind, staying in bed from Friday evening until Sunday. [...] But the real breakthrough for me was simply learning much more about migraines."“
You can find more opinions on my page. Participant feedback.
Saturday, November 7th, 5 pm or Sunday, November 8th, 7 pm. Live via Zoom, approximately 90 minutes.

No, it's free.
I'm happy when I can see you. Not to observe you, but because something develops between us when we see each other. It's not a requirement. (If you're sensitive to light: reduce the brightness.)
No. Only those who want to participate should sign up. Watching is perfectly sufficient.
Then just come to the other appointment. Send me a quick message and I'll send you the link.
Yes. You won't get another tip, but rather a different perspective on the whole thing. What you take away from it is up to you.
No. I will support you as a coach, drawing on my background in psychotherapy and trauma-informed care. Your medical needs will continue alongside this. The two complement each other.
Computer, tablet or mobile phone with internet access. Zoom also works without a personal account.
